High School Special Education Teacher (1.0):

Innovation Academy Charter School (Tyngsboro, MA), a public charter school serving grades 5 through 12, seeks a full-time high school special education teacher for 9th through 12th grade. Preferred candidates will possess experience or strong interest in a co-teaching model, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a teaching team.  Candidates should also have experience writing IEPs and managing an IEP caseload, experience modifying curriculum to meet student need, and excellent communication and organizational skills.  Please send resume and cover letter to hscareers@innovationcharter.org and write “High School Special Education Teacher” in the subject line.  

Middle School Special Education Teacher (1.0):

Part-Time Librarian

Innovation Academy Charter School seeks a part-time library staff person. (8am-3pm on Tues & Thurs during the school year, with flexible hours during the summer) Preferred candidates will have some library experience (cataloging & circulation), excellent communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to work independently.  Please send resume and cover letter to gorpen@innovationcharter.org.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Assist students/staff with locating resources
  • Circulation of books and computers
  • Supervise students using the library
  • Assist with library inventory and loss prevention
  • Assist with cataloging donations and class sets
  • Additional projects as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Basic computer literacy
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and good problem solving ability
  • Positive attitude and great interpersonal skills
  • Prior library experience desirable but not necessary
