Art & Tech Camp
Art & Tech Camp
June 21, 2023 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
June Art and Tech camp on IACS campus!
Camp will meet on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, June 21-23, from 8:00-4:00 in room 241 of the High School.
We’ll explore the combination of Art and Technology with the following projects:
Day One - Artbotics - Campers will make ArtBotics. Artbotics was a program at Umass Lowell, where students made art that responded to its environment using robotics equipment. In past years, students have animated stuffed animals, or created 2-D art that animates when the viewer interacts with it. Students can also use the robotics equipment to make robots that don’t have an art component.
Day Two - Stop Motion Movies - Campers will make stop motion movies, using clay or other toys or supplies.
Day Three - Coding Games - Students will be invited to a google classroom where they can learn coding, some with art themes, or campers can continue to work on their artbotics or stop motion projects.
Any high schooler interested in volunteering as a camp counselor should contact Donna at dharrington@innovationchsrter.org, no experience necessary!
Questions? Email Donna Rucinski Harrington at dharrington@innovationcharter.org
Space is limited. Sign up here: Art and Tech Camp Permission Slip
