Special Education Parent Advisory Council
The role of SEPAC is to advise our school district on matters that pertain to the education and safety of students with disabilities.
Every public school district in Massachusetts is required to establish a SEPAC.
Massachusetts state law assigns both an advisory and participatory function to SEPACs.
SEPAC meetings are open to all parents and/or guardians of students WITH or WITHOUT IEP or 504 Plans and other interested parties.
All are welcome to the SEPAC meetings.
Here are some ways you can make SEPAC stronger:
Join our email list: Send a note to Stephanie Mackinnon at smackinnon@ innovationcharter.org with “subscribe” in the subject line and you will be added to our SEPAC email mailing list. Parents and/or guardians of students who receive any type of special education services or accommodations in school, such as an Individualized Education Program (IEP), a 504 accommodation or an out-of-district placement, as well as others who would like to deepen their understanding or have an interest in special education are welcome. This email will be used to send out meeting and procedural information is managed by school based staff.
Attend a meeting: Next meeting is January 30, 2023 7:00 pm WORKSHOP
