  • After School Art

    Tuesday or Thursday, 3:00 – 4:30

    Winter session starts week of 11/27

    The after school art program is designed to give students access to a wide variety of materials and tools in the art room in order to create work of their choosing. There is a $60 fee for this program and scholarships are available. Please fill out the registration form by Wednesday, November 21, or email jshaby@innovationcharter.org for more information.

  • Band

    Band meets twice a week after school from 3 – 4:30. There are two band groups: beginner band, which is for students who have never played their instrument/read music before, and meets on Mondays and Thursdays; and advanced band, which is for students who have played their instrument for at least a year, and meets on Tuesdays and Fridays. Band instruments include flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and percussion. To sign up, come see Ms. Destramp in room 510, or have your family email her at jdestramp@innovationcharter.org.

  • Chorus

    The Middle School Chorus  is open to all students in grades 5-8 who love to sing! Chorus meets on Half-Day Wednesdays from 12:25 – 1:45 in the Middle School Music Room (510). We do not meet on Full-Day Wednesdays. Students bring a bagged lunch, enjoy lunch together and then we sing! Students are to be picked up in front of Landberg Hall by parents at 1:45. We will be singing music in preparation of our December Concert. Middle School Chorus will start on Wednesday, September 12th at 12:25 – 1:45 in the Middle School Music Room with Mrs. Lane.

  • Dungeons and Dragons

    Calling all wizards, fighters and dungeon masters! Dungeons & Dragons Club (D&D) is a role playing game where you can play the character of your choice and go on adventures. Fight monsters and find treasure! We will be meeting after school on Thursdays, beginning September 27, in room 207 from 3-4. Please have your parent or guardian email Mrs. Muhigi at kmuhigi@innovationcharter.org in order to join.

    We meet on half day Wednesdays during snack and recess or community meeting in room 510. The first meeting is on November 1st! ANYONE can join!  

  • Literary Magazine

    IACS MS Literary Magazine — The Scribbler

    Calling all artists and writers! Looking to find a place to publish your work?

    We’re looking for editors and anyone interested in putting together a literary magazine for the year. This is a yearlong commitment, and we are looking for students in good academic standing, who are hardworking and dedicated to publish a literary magazine by the end of the year.

    The Scribbler will meet on Mondays after school from 3:00-4:30 PM in Room 408. Mr. Pisco is the Literary Magazine Advisor. Meetings begin on Monday, September 24, 2018.

  • Student Advisory Council

    MS Student Advisory Council: Mr. Pererya and Mrs. Kapeckas are forming a Middle School Student Advisory Council with the focus on improving school culture and students’ experience at IACS. The group will meet every other Friday during lunch/recess/advisory beginning on 10/5. Students that are interested in joining should write a paragraph about why they are interested in joining and what they would contribute to the group. Please an email with this information to Mr. Pereyra (fpereyra@innovationcharter.org) and Mrs. Kapeckas (mkapeckas@innovationcharter.org).
