This Fall, and instead of a Thanksgiving Food Drive, NHS and the Middle School have joined forces to support Camp Sunshine in Casco, Maine. Camp Sunshine operates year-round and “provides retreats combining respite, recreation and support, while enabling hope and promoting joy, for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families through the various stages of a child’s illness”…all at no cost to the families. We will be collecting a variety of supplies through October 28th in the labeled bins at school.
High School math teacher, Ms. Pratt, who is a long time supporter and volunteer at Camp Sunshine, brought this great non-profit organization to our attention. Click HERE to see a video on Camp Sunshine.
