The weather was absolutely perfect last Friday for the 2nd Annual Fall Fest. This is the only day of the year when you will see all 800 students in grades 5-12 participating together in fun events around the campus in an effort to build a stronger community. The High School Student Government, led by co-presidents Sebastian Chavez and Jade King, and supervisors Leanne Barnes and Bill McCarthy, put a lot of work into planning the event. It takes a village to pull this event off and a lot of thanks also goes to students Andrew Girouard, Ben MacKinnon, Katie White, Caleb Gierke, Kaylin Donoghue, Jenna Green, and many other student volunteers. Students traveled through six different stations with their advisory and each station had a different game or activity. The activities were: Pterodactyl, Ladder Ball, 3 Legged Race, Scavenger Hunt, Whiffle Ball Toss, Inflatable Softball, Dodgeball, Volleyball, and Soccer. The day culminated with the staff vs. students tug-of-war and I’m pleased to share with you that the staff redeemed themselves from last years loss by defeating the students today. It was a great way to end spirit week so thank you to everyone that played a role in making today such a success.
