March Seniors of the Month

Congratulations to Kiersten Callery, Nate George, and Lexi Wright for being recognized as our Seniors of the Month for March.

Kiersten Callery’s teachers have recognized her for excellent leadership in class. She has done a great job helping underclassmen in her Forensics Science II class with lab activities.  She volunteers to help teachers and her peers, showcasing an excellent level of community membership.

Lexi Wright has been doing a great job balancing a part-time job at a restaurant along with maintaining a rigorous course load at IACS. She is taking her 2nd Dual-Enrollment class and is enthusiastic about the connections between the arts and sciences.  She helped lead the way in getting the Earth and Space Science class and others to a production at the Merrimack Rep theater of a play about the life of an early woman astronomer.  That enthusiasm and her engaging writing style make her a pleasure to work with. Not to mention that one of her friends describes her as a “cool cat”.

Nate George demonstrates exemplary community membership. He patiently helped guide his peers in chemistry class when they worked on the Molecular Shapes project. At his internship site, Beyond Benign, he helped create videos that teach other students and teachers how to perform safer chemistry lab experiments. His videos have been shared with science educators interested in green chemistry around the world. Nate is also an accomplished musician who performs in the Instrumental Ensemble.
