Expansion Initiative:  Thanks to the growing generosity of our families — through our new Hawk Walk Brick Campaign and our 1st Annual Fundraising Relay event in October —  in addition to the track and field complex, 5/6 building and 7/8 science rooms, the Expansion Initiative has been able to assist the school with new track and field equipment.  This equipment includes:

90 new hurdles

  • starting blocks for eight lanes
  • fully outfitted pole vault pits including mats, crossbar, poles and the pit
  • high quality javelins
  • turbo javelins
  • discus
  • 4-12 pound shot puts
  • batons
  • Coming soon, you will see new flagpoles near the entrance of Hawk Walk, where over 100 bricks have already been graciously donated by families, friends of IACS, alumni, companies and others, to commemorate activities, memories and events at our school.  Once all the nets come out, the athletes take the field, and our new cache of equipment fills the complex, please be reminded that it is your generosity, our community’s efforts (students and families) and everyone working together on our Expansion Initiative that we are realizing our dream for new facilities.  As we see this coming together, with our 1st Annual Innovation Spring 5K and FunRun (May 16 – don’t forget to register: www.innovation5k.com) only weeks away, a heartfelt THANK YOU to our IACS community!

Dating can be hard, especially when your date happens to be a raging kleptomaniac.  Or a mime.  Or a pirate.

Check Please follows Guy and Girl through a series of blind dinner dates that couldn't get any worse. Unfortunately, the dating pool is filled with fake multi-linguists, texting-lingo speakers, foot-reading psychics, obsessed Patriots fans, frustrated polygamists, confused actors, everything-phobics, burlap-sac wearers, and extreme accountants.

IACS Performing Arts takes a comedic look at the dating scene with their hilarious spring stage production, Jonathan Rand’s Check Please and Check Please, Take 2.  Performances are on Saturday, May 11 at 2:00 and 7:00pm.  Tickets are $8 through April and $12 in May.  Ticket order forms can be found in the front office and  in the performing arts section of the school's website, www.innovationcharter.org.

Produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc.

Please consider supporting IACS performing arts by buying space in the Check Please and Check Please, Take 2 program!  Order forms are available in the front office and  in the performing arts section of the school's website, www.innovationcharter.org.
