The Hawk: August 29, 2019

August 29, 2019 6:48 pm

Week ending August 30th

Dear IACS Community,

Last week I read a light-hearted article about the parent’s perspective of back to school. The article included this picture. Perhaps you can relate?

Big picture

Joking aside, it’s been a personal joy to see our community come together these past two weeks as we reconnect with familiar faces and welcome new members to the IACS family. (Sadly, I can’t jump as high as the woman in the picture.) To our new IACS families, please know that there are MANY people who are more than ready to help you navigate this transition. Please don’t feel that you need to figure out everything on your own. In addition to reaching out by phone or email, please mark the Back To School Nights on your calendars: Middle School September 19th and High School on September 26th. Additionally, if you’d like to meet up with some other IACS parents, you’re invited to attend the first meeting of the Innovation Academy Community Association (IACA) on Wednesday September 11th at 6:00pm in the School Library.

In partnership,

Greg Orpen

Head of School
