IACS Farm-to-School Fundraiser

Do you like to garden? Do you know anyone who would appreciate a gift of flower and vegetable seeds? Consider purchasing individual seed packs and seed gift boxes from High Mowing Organic Seeds in Vermont to support the IACS Farm to School program. View the full list of seeds here. Given our unique remote year we encourage everyone to use the IACS Seed Fundraiser Order Form and pay by credit card. If paying by cash or check, please print the order form and drop off at the main office. Orders are due by Dec 1st to allow for pickup before winter break.

The Farm-to-School program was developed through the hard work of many community members and is starting to make a meaningful difference to our school. Click Here to learn more about how your purchase will support our Farm to School program!

Please send any questions to: farm2school@innovationcharter.org

Help Create Our IACS Community Cookbook!

Through a collaboration of several students and staff we are creating an IACS Community Cookbook! We invite all students and staff to share recipes that you have a personal and cultural connection to. This is a great way to connect and learn from each other during these isolated times. Throughout the second semester we hope to host zoom cooking classes with ingredient kits you can pick-up from school to cook some of our community recipes together.

To submit a recipe, fill out this Google Form by Friday, December 18th! Submit as many as you’d like.

We are also seeking a cover for our cookbook as well as art pieces (poems, photography, short stories, drawings, songs, etc.) around the themes of food, community and identity. Prizes include seed packets and gardening tools, fun cooking ingredients and equipment, cookbooks, etc. Some possible prompts to explore: What is your favorite food memory? Which foods define (or don’t) you? How can food bring us together?

Submit your art to farm2school@innovationcharter.org by Friday, December 18th.
