Big picture

Dear IACS Community,

I hope the December vacation allowed for some extra rest after what has been an upside down 2020. We jumped into 2021 this week by hosting two separate Zoom-based meetings for high school and middle school families. These "family forums" reviewed protocols and procedures related to our January 19th transition to hybrid programming. Full recordings of these meetings as well as links to slides used each night are included in the respective Middle School and High School sections.

Separate from this Hawk letter, families will receive a separate email from our Health Office asking you to register for "MyMedBot". As outlined in the presentation slides, MyMedBot is an app that all students and staff will use as a health screener when coming to campus. Completing the three screening questions is a simple way to keep health criteria more present in our minds as well as help facilitate communication between families and the school. If after you receive the MyMedBot registration email you have any questions, please contact our health office:

Lastly, our high school and middle school administrative teams have been (or will be soon) reaching out to families to confirm attendance in our hybrid program. Having accurate information is essential to our planning, so thank you in advance for replying to their requests.

In partnership,

Greg Orpen

Head of School
