Basket Raffle @ Embrace Winter
Dear IACS Parents and Caregivers:
The Basket Raffles are back, and we need your help to make them great! Each grade will put together a basket based on a certain theme. The baskets will be full of items donated by families in that grade. Find out your grade’s theme on the pages that follow. Please be creative—we hope for some spirited competition among grades—maybe your grade’s basket will be the most prized!
The baskets will be raffled off during this year’s Embrace Winter Family Social on Friday, February 2nd, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, in the IACS cafeteria. (Please note we have a snow date of Friday, February 9th, so stay tuned for updates.) The Social will be a fun family evening of BINGO, baskets, and snacks! Raffle tickets will be sold at the Social, and the lucky winners will take home a fabulous basket that night! Please note that we will pull the winners promptly at 8:45pm, so please be sure to get your raffle tickets in before then!
The proceeds from this and all other IACA fundraising activities go to fund items for the school, such as the new tent and tables on the IACS patio, and to plan events that build strong bonds among all members of our IACS Community, such as the summer Ice Cream Social!
How can you help? Donate themed items by dropping them off, contained in a shopping bag and clearly labeled by grade, at the main office now through January 19th. If you do not have time to shop and would prefer to send in a cash donation, the money will be either pooled to buy additional items or will go towards the cost of the basket itself. If you do drop off cash, please put the cash in an envelope and clearly mark on the envelope that it is for the “Basket Raffle” and indicate the grade to which the money should go. Help even more by volunteering to coordinate a basket for a grade. If you are able to help coordinate, or have any questions, please contact Angela Caputo Griswold at acaputogriswold@yahoo.com or Kim Bilawchuk at kimbilawchuk@gmail.com.
We can hardly wait to see the creations! Many thanks!
