IACS Newsletter for the week ending June 22, 2018
Dear IACS Community,
Another school year has come and gone and even though only been two days since school ended, the halls already feel empty without the hustle and bustle of the students. Here at IACS we are taking advantage of the empty halls to get to work on some projects that are better suited to a nearly empty building. The restoration of the front staircase has begun, take a look at the photos below to see how it’s coming along.
This project has been partially funded with donations made by IACS families to our Annual Giving Campaign. With our fiscal year ending on June 30th, I’d like to invite you to make a donation (of any size) to help offset this significant cost for our school. Donations may be made online here. Does your employer match charitable donations? You may be able to double your impact with a company match. Contact us if we can help with this.
With only one week left in our fiscal year, please consider making a tax deductible donation today.
We are grateful for your help and hope that the summer offers a more relaxed pace for you and your family to do what you enjoy most.
Performing Arts Camps are about to begin right here on the IACS campus!
3 weeks of Performing Arts Camp that are open to the Community of and outside IACS!
July 9-13: GLEE CAMP where we will learn songs, dances and scenes from PHANTOM OF THE OPERA! Free, public performance of the students’ work on Friday, July 13 at 5pm!
July 16-20: HAMILPROV WEEK where students will spend 1/2 the day learning about the Broadway sensation Hamilton, and 1/2 the day working on Improvisational games, activities and skills. Free, public performance of the students’ work on Friday, July 20 at 5pm!
July 23-27: DRAMA CAMP! Where we will learn the play THE GOOD DOCTOR which we will perform at a theater, right off Broadway on Tuesday, July 31! This performance will be open to actors of all ages at camp. If there are people, ages 10 through adult, who can’t make those rehearsal times and would like to take part in the show as well, we can be flexible with your schedule so that we can have you with us as actors!
Scholarships are available and are based on need.

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU AT CAMP!
If you find yourself near school and would like to pick up your summer reading book for $10, a limited number of summer reading selections will be available in the IACS Library, Monday through Friday 8am – 3pm. These books can also be purchased at your local bookstore, used bookstore or even better, may be available at your local library for free!

2018-2019 Transportation News:
By now all families should have received an email for the option to sign up for carpooling, and a letter mailed home with information about busing. If you have not received this information please contact Marybeth Bush, email@example.com or 978-649-0432 ext 3218.
The out of town Christianson buses are filling up so if you are interested in using that transportation option do not delay in signing up.
THANK YOU TO ALL who’ve stepped up this year and gotten involved with IACA and our many events. We hope you found your participation enriching and memorable! Volunteers truly are the lifeblood of our organization.
