Middle School News

Quality
Night prep day was today. Students worked in school on revising a project
piece, preparing a presentation and visual display for Quality Night . Quality Night takes place on Tuesday, 12/4 from 5:45-7
pm, and
Quality Night is scheduled on Thursday, 12/6 from 5:45 – 7 pm.
 In between Quality Night prep day and their scheduled Quality Night,
students should practice their presentation at home and utilize feedback from
adults at home in order to be prepared and polished for their formal
presentation at Quality Night. Successful presentation at Quality Night is a
promotion requirement.

 

Quarter
1 Assessments will go home on Monday, 11/26.

High School News

Exhibition Night:   Students have been selecting work for our Winter Exhibition Night which will be held on Wednesday, December 5th from 6 to 8 pm.   All students are expected to attend in this celebration of student work.  The format is open so guest do not have to stay the whole time.  The evening will conclude with student performances in the auditorium.   Please come see our what our classrooms and hallways look like when student work is on full display!

Winter Formal: The High School is on December 14th from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Tickets which include food are $13 (if pre ordered) and $15 (at the door), and will be sold at lunch starting next week.  The S.G is looking for donations of any snow or winter related decorations and white, blue or purple twinkle lights.

We also are in need of parent chaperones for the dance and student and parent volunteers to help set up after school on the 14th. Please contact Shannon Morocco at smorocco@innovationcharter.org if you are interested in volunteering/chaperoning or you have decorations you would like to provide for the semi. Any students who would like to bring a guest from another high school must complete a guest permission slip and submit it to Tina by Monday, December 10th. . The forms are located outside her office and on it attached to this email.

IACS Library is accepting used book donations! We will sort through and keep what we can use

and put the rest into our brand new GOT BOOKS container. The container is a fundraiser for the Library
and with it; we hope to raise enough to purchase more MP3 Players for audiobooks that students can
check out from the Library. Any early elementary or books that you sense are not appropriate for either

the Middle or High School section of our library, can be dropped directly into the bin which is located
on the High School side, next to the school. The bin accepts used books, CDs, DVDs & records. Got
Books pays us for these donations! Please note that the librarian is not able to access the bin,

so if your intention is to donate books to the school, please be sure to bring the books to the

Although much delayed the IACA wants to say thank you to the wonderful 5/6 grade dance chaperones,
We had 180 student turn out, , the largest to date. Due to the commitment of the volunteer parents, DJ
and teacher the dance was a Hugh success.
