Maureen received a B.S. in Psychology and worked as a Corporate Recruiter for MIT/LL and the Department of Defense for over 20 years. After marrying and starting a family, Maureen took time off to raise her daughters. She developed her love of teaching while volunteering at their Elementary School. Maureen transitioned to Education as a part time reading teacher while completing her Masters of Education.  “Mrs. B” as her students called her, worked in the Lowell district for seven years as a Content Literacy Teacher and ELL teacher before joining Innovation Academy as one of our fifth grade ELA teachers. When not in class, Maureen enjoys spending time with family, making crafts, learning useless trivia and drinking Starbucks tea.
