Cecilia teaches in the Political Science Department of the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where she is also a PhD Candidate in the Global Studies Program. Her research is at the intersection of Security policy, Human Rights, and Gender. She holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, a graduate degree in Business Administration, and an undergraduate degree in Education. Her interdisciplinary background covers training in mediation and nonprofit leadership.
She has over a decade’s experience in Management and Development Consulting within diverse global contexts. She is a Boston Civic Action Project (CAP) Policy Fellow and a Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). Cecilia is a TEDx speaker who loves to read and travel with her three children, two of which are students at IACS.
