Anna Cynar
Science

Anna Cynar joined IACS in 2017. Born and raised in Michigan she attended Michigan Technological University (MTU) and received a B.A. in Communication and Culture Studies. Anna also earned a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science and teaching certification from Antioch University in Keene, NH. She served in AmeriCorps for two years and worked for a slew of environmental education non-profits such as the Ferry Beach Ecology School and Mass Audubon.

Previously Anna taught at the Sizer School in Fitchburg, MA from 2012-2017. She is excited to work and learn with students and staff at IACS.

Anna enjoys hiking, gardening, canoeing, reading, carving stamps, ambling, experiencing animal migrations, and being the best Aunt ever.

Her life mottos include: “Give mightily, live lightly;” “Because the world needs you now;” and “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”
