Bruce has had a love for soccer since a young age when he first played in a fledgling rec league. While playing soccer throughout his schooling, Bruce usually played a more defensive position, eventually developing into a respectable center back.  This focus on strong defense has guided his coaching philosophy, building teams from the back, through the center, and then out.

Bruce has more than 20 years of soccer coaching experience, spanning all ages from youth through high school players. The majority of that experience was gained while serving as a head coach at all levels of Tewksbury Youth Soccer.  While he has lead many successful teams, his focus has always been on player development as the foundation of team success.  During that time he has coached players of diverse abilities, striving always to encourage the best out of his players.
