Ms. Conte began teaching in 2014 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish from Fitchburg State. She is currently working towards earning her M.ED. in Curriculum and Instruction, also at Fitchburg State. Ms. Conte has taught anywhere from kindergarten to fifth grade in Chelmsford, Lowell, Fitchburg, and Leominster, and now, sixth grade! Before joining IACS, she enjoyed enormous amounts of fun with her “littles” for three years at Byam Elementary in Chelmsford. She is an alumna of what was then ‘Murdoch Middle School’ and is excited to be rejoining the IACS community. During the summer, Ms. Conte works at a girl’s residential camp in Cape Cod and spends too much time channeling her inner Ms. Frizzle while leading field trips and excitedly demonstrating camping skills. In her free time, Ms. Conte is greatly enthralled with singing and making music anywhere humanly possible, channeling her inner mermaid whilst swimming, re-reading Harry Potter for the umpteenth time (please feel free to challenge her to a magical trivia duel), participating in all things Cirque du Soleil, and conversing with her Italy friends (whom she would like to re-visit in the future). She would like to thank her teacher buddies for being amazing, and her cat, Fluffernutter, for being her alarm clock even when she does not need one.
