Chris has extensive knowledge and experience with both the triple and long jump events. As a high school athlete at Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School, Chris was a Division III Long Jump State Champion as well as team MVP and a senior team captain. Chris went on to compete at University of Massachusetts Lowell from 2008 to 2010, where he holds the school record in the freshman long jump. Chris graduated from Salem State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Sport Movement Science. He coached at Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School from 2009 to 2011 as an assistant jumps coach. In addition to coaching, Chris has held many positions in fields relating to wellness and exercise, including directing personal training and group exercise programs. Chris holds a Level 1 Certification in Exercise Nutrition from Precision Nutrition and is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Chris feels that his background in fitness and conditioning will positively affect his athletes. Chris is excited to work with young jumping athletes and provide them a positive experience with the sport of track and field, which he feels has had a profound impact on his own life.
