Clare Fox Ringwall officially joined the IACS staff in the fall of 2012, but she has worked with teachers from both the middle and high school since 2006 as Director of the New Teachers Collaborative (NTC), a state-approved teacher training program at the Theordore R. Sizer Teachers Center in Devens, MA. Prior to her work at NTC, Clare taught English for many years at Brookline High School. While there, she had frequent opportunities to design and teach new curriculum, including courses on literary journalism, critical reading, and interdisciplinary seminars on public policy and social justice. Clare was a founding member of the Francis W. Parker Charter Essential School in 1995 and has been an educational consultant with Teachers 21 since 1996. Clare earned her Bachelors at Brown University where she graduated with her degree in Creative Writing as well as her secondary education teaching license.
