Federico (Freddy) Pereyra joined the IACS staff as a part-time teacher in Feb. 2009 and became a full-time 7/8 math teacher for the next school year. In 2016, Freddy transitioned from the classroom to an administrative role, as the Middle School Dean of Students.
Freddy also started the middle school (2010) and high school (2012) cross country programs at IACS. He served as the head coach for both cross country teams, as well as assistant track coach for indoor and outdoor track, until 2016.
Prior to working at IACS, Freddy taught abroad, in the Dominican Republic, from 2005-2008. He taught computer science, Algebra I, Algebra II, and physics at schools with a U.S. based curriculum. Additionally, Freddy was Co-Director of the Andover Breadloaf Writing Workshop at Philips Academy (Andover, MA) from 2010-2016.
Freddy received his Bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College in 2004, where he majored in Computer & Information Systems.
