My name is Kate Chagnon and I am your new athletic trainer at Innovation Academy.
I have been an athletic trainer for 21 years, graduating from Endicott College in 2004 with my bachelors of science in sports medicine/athletic training, and was a 4 year starting lacrosse player along with being a captain my senior year while earning my degree. I spent my first 5 years as an athletic trainer working for Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital contracted to Pentucket Regional High School and then later Andover High School. I moved on to be the Head athletic trainer for Chelmsford High School in 2009 and had been in charge of the care of over 600 athletes per season for the last 16 years. I also received my masters degree in health and wellness management with a focus in health policy and sports nutrition in 2024, giving me the opportunity to become an adjunct professor for Merrimack College teaching Anatomy and Physiology in the morning, and also an asynchrounous nutrition course for Nashua Community College. I resigned from Chelmsford High School recently and was excited to be able to continue working with student athletes at Innovation. I look forward to working with the student athletes at Innovation Academy.
