Mary Oliveira brings a generous amount of experience to the role of Studio Art Teacher at the High School level. She taught studio art at three Independent Schools prior to her current position here at IACS. Mary resides in Medford MA with her husband Mario, and maintains a painting studio in her home. She enjoys drawing and painting from life, with people and landscapes being some of her favorite subject matter. Other interests include singing and playing guitar, gardening, kayaking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Mary earned a BA cum laude from Regis College with a major in visual arts within a liberal arts curriculum. She went on to earn an MFA in studio teaching from Boston University that included state certification for teaching art PreK-12.
