Samantha attended Ithaca College, where she received a B.A. in English. After taking a few education classes as electives, she caught the teaching bug and went on to get an M.S.Ed. from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY. After student teaching in the Albany area for a year, she decided to teach for a year abroad. She joined a team of founding teachers at a newly built school in the Dominican Republic, where she taught ELA for grades 6-9 to students with a wide range of English language abilities. In 2008, she began working at IACS where she is currently a 7/8 ELA teacher. After school, she helps out at high school play rehearsals.
