2026-2027 School Year information –
Families that live in Tyngsborough
Tyngsborough residents have an option of bus service provided by the town. All Tyngsboro families are asked to fill out this form, even if your student does not intend to take the bus. (For example – indicating: My child will be driven, walking or would like bus service to be provided)
Tyngsborough Morning Bus Routes will be released in August 2026
Regional Bus Transportation – Operated by Christianson Bus Co. (non-Tyngsboro Residents)
For non-Tyngsborough residents, the school will coordinates a Christianson Bus Co. with stops throughout the region. For more information about this program, please review the IACS Regional Transportation Memo 2026-2027
Please note that many stops fill up quickly. Please consider including a 2nd option stop to ensure a spot. While the school monitors the applications closely and makes every effort to maximize seat availability, once buses are filled to capacity, any additional students will be placed on a waitlist and families will be notified.

Please note: this is a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED service and space is limited – the time that you complete the form will establish your position on the bus list.
The fees for the 2026-2027 school year are as follows:
A $25.00 single student Administration Fee or $50 family Administration Fee (for families with 2 or more students) must be paid to be paid before a seat is confirmed.
Carpool
Many families carpool to IACS. The school has a form to help families find each other for car pooling.

Lowell City Bus Information
The LRTA Bus #17 arrives at school around 8:00 am each morning and departs at approximately 3 pm each day; (1 pm on Wednesdays) with a late bus departing at approximately 4 pm. For more information on LRTA Bus #17 routes visit their website at LRTA.com. (IACS would be after the Triangle store. )
LRTA bus tickets are free for students.

MA Anti-Idling Laws
All drivers of both busses and passenger cars are expected to follow Massachusetts Anti-Idling laws:
Operators of school buses and personal motor vehicles, including parents, family members, students, employees, volunteers, and visitors, are prohibited from idling such vehicles (leaving the engine on while the car is parked) on or within 100 feet of the school grounds, unless an exception under 540 CMR 27.04 applies.
Frequently Asked Questions can be read here but essentially all vehicles are expected to turn off their car engines while waiting for student passengers.
