Shannon Morocco received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Boston College. After graduating, she volunteered for a year in Baltimore, MD teaching GED classes to the urban poor as a member of the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. Shannon joined Innovation Academy in 2007 through the New Teachers Collaborative Program and has since designed and taught a variety of courses in grades 9-12 including courses on Modern Africa, the Italian Renaissance and an Urban Study of New Orleans. Outside of the classroom, Shannon has served as coordinator for the history department, advisory coordinator and an advisor to Student Government. While still teaching history, in 2015 Shannon began work as the Assistant Director of College Counseling.
